Which QB is worse? Manning or Simpson?

I’m not sure who I would pick if I absolutely had to.
Clearly, neither of them are even Top 5 QBs in the SEC and they both had the deer-in-the-headlights look on their face all game long.
Manning had a 58 QBR while Simpson had a 48…yikes.
Arch has 3 games vs non-P4 opponents to learn how to play QB before he has to go to The Swamp. That trip on the road will be far more intense than a noon kickoff in Columbus. I expect another humbling loss for UTrans.
As for Ty, I wonder if he’ll still be QB1 by Week 4 @ UGA, as that is surely another humbling loss for Kaitlyn & Co.
It’s like you saw it coming.

Simpson easily. Manning is just more overrated/over hyped.

Simpson. I wonder if he continues to be awful if they give Austin Mack or the super 5 star Keon Russell some reps

He looked like a deer in headlights against FSU.

Does Alabama have a situation on their hands this year that Texas had last year where the outside thinks the backup QB could be better until he proves exactly why he was the backup QB all along?

QB is so hard to rank out of HS. Very few actually face real competition.

Answer is obvious. Bama wouldn't trade Simpson for Manning.

Most of us know the competition Manning faced in HS and then they hid him from ever camping because he was “too popular”.
Then, voilà, #1 overall recruit.

Keon Russell is the real deal. He started at Duncanville in DFW for 3 years and played out of state academy’s every year. Also played in the toughest district in 6a.
He was the Gatorade POY and enrolled in Jan. I’d like to see him get some time

Not sure yet, way to early to tell..but I would have to say Manning will be fine in the long run.

Is that game sure to be a night game in The Swamp?
Honestly, LSU has had more issues playing there in the day.

Manning
Right now he’s not even top 12 in the SEC.
However this is kind of a cripple fight like question.
Who cares if Simpson is 12 and Manning 13?
Bama can at least make a change at QB. Sark does not have that as an option even if Owens is better.

Well right now Simpson is proving why he's been the backup for three years.
We'll see. Team is soft as baby shite so that doesn't help.

Simpson looked a lot better throwing the football. He also had some tough runs to convert some first downs.
Manning did not look good. Awful mechanics. But he has the next three weeks against cupcakes to get some better numbers.

Idk, but jarrett lee must've taught them in camp cuz they both look like stupid dumb fricks that came out of the countryside somewhere who never played football

I have personally watched "elite" QBs in HS not translate. Elite OL can make an average QB look good.

Simpson didn’t play great, but you had an offensive line getting their stuff pushed in and they weren’t doing any exotic blitz or anything, just sending 4 and getting pressure every time. He was one of the few players that actually gave an effort.

I actually didn’t think Simpson was horrible. His coaches and teammates did him no favors.
They totally abandoned the run and his star wr hasn’t been able catch shite since the UGA game last year.

That is our situation every year.
