I can only imagine the come down from that high he had yall on, especially from the kids who don’t remember the Bama that sucked so long before Saban.
I went through something similiar, as a young kid first starting to watch football is when Cowboys won first of three super bowl in the 90s, i knew nothing else
When that crashed it sent me into a depression and i lost interest in sports for a while
Its hard being a fan of teams like those
but one good thing is that once you win like that the fans that witnessed it will always make sure that team gets good again sometime down the road. Theyll pay, switch ADs, coaches, whatever. Trust me theyll get that high back somehow but itll be a while

I started watching Bama under Shula so I do remember. However my entire life through highschool and college we dominated everyone. So really my glory days were all Nick Saban.

Until 3 days ago you had arguably worse results. Heading into his 4th year with the portal being available every off season he has had. It's still debatable. Long season and an even longer time since you guys won a first game, so the emotional overreactions are predictable.

Developed the good times are forever mindset under Mack. Then 2010 hit and it all went to shite.
It took 13 years to get to another 11+ win season, and I’ll be damned if I ever find myself in a position of saying “It’s not enough!”.
Enjoy the journey.
Never let yourself get to a place where you downplay an opportunity to play in a Conference Championship. It’s too hard to get there to not enjoy it
If a national championship comes, FANTASTIC! If not, so be it.

It's more about the players just chasing money and tape for the NFL now. They don't really give two shits about the colors they put on.
