LSU May Be Unbeatable

They went on the road and took the ACCs best team to the woodshed when it mattered in the ACCs most difficult stadium. They also played against the ugliest uniforms in college football and managed not to puke. There’s not a single team in the conference for which they should not be a prohibitive favorite to win going forward- home or away. I think they would smoke Texas and Georgia both- even on the road. They should beat us at the Vaught by a minimum of two touchdowns in a few weeks.

Clemson is probably a paper tiger.
Georgia dominated them last year and still lost to Ole Miss.

Seriously, I don't care about being undefeated. I want us to remain healthy, get in the playoff, and win it all.

What’s so impressive about beating Clemson? Georgia has done it twice in the last 4 seasons. And last year was a complete blow out. Clemson never lives up to the hype. Not to mention they play in the bottom feeder ACC. It would have been embarrassing for the SEC if LSU hadn’t won

Clemson tends to be annually overrated recently. A 7 point win over them on the road first game of the year is a nice quality win but certainly doesn't prove that LSU is the best in the SEC. Not even close. There's a lot of football to be played.

I fear that may happen. We had some issues with run defense Saturday night and the verdict is still out on Simmons. He had his great drive against Georgia but then threw two picks in the 1st quarter, one of which was definitely a bad decision. To his credit, he came back from that but I think he’ll need to be superb to give Ole Miss a shot at winning the game and they would be an incredible progression. I’m quite concerned about beating Kentucky on the road this weekend.

I’d take that in a heartbeat right now but- like it or not- LSU appears to be the front runner right now. I suspect that the SECr Power Rankings will show I’m not alone as I suspect that LSU will have the highest percentage of 1st place votes of any team ever after week 1.
