Billy Napier's offensive play calling will likely keep it pretty close.

Maybe but they come in with one of the more dangerous FCS QBs. He averaged over 100 yards rushing a game in his starts besides the passing after taking over the starting job last season.

While I have no faith in Billy, I have faith in Vegas, we are favored by 46 points..so not worried at all.

Not like they had a top 5 school scheduled, but the Gators originally had FAMU scheduled, and the SEC put Texas A&M in that slot. Florida had to find an opponent at that time, so they slotted Long Island. UF also has USF, @Miami, and FSU out of conference (what's LSU's record vs. FSU?). The Gators also scheduled all Power 4 teams last year and have the second-toughest schedule this year, even with Long Island.

I think this is the 1st year I can remember that LSU doesn't have an HBCU scheduled. Why can the Tigers play every other Louisiana school except Tulane, the only other Louisiana school with a pulse?

How long has it been since LSU won a season opener? Asking for a friend.
