I think people approach this the same way they would a football hire, and that's a mistake.

Tennessee is Tony's only HC job. Vanderbilt is Corbin's only HC job. Florida Is Sully's only HC job. Jay Johnson wasn't Jay Johnson at Arizona - he won the natty in two years after being at LSU, and he's in the finals again two years later.

It's probably just a matter of time for Wes, Schloss, and MSU's new coach.

Eight conference opponents have won a national championship since Dave got hired here. Three of them have won multiple. This isn't football, and that isn't a confidence. Arkansas cares about baseball, we can hire a lot of people to make a splash, even if a hot name turned us down.

You celebrated hiring a basketball coach that hadn’t made it out of the first weekend since 2019 and you want to fire a baseball coach that has made 2 final fours and an elite 8 in that time frame. That makes zero sense
