Ben McDonald stated that he believes Doyle is destined to become a reliever because he only has a couple of pitches, but Anderson has the repertoire to be a major league starter. I'll go with Anderson.

Seems crazy to me to see where Anderson was last season to where he is now. MLB.com has him as the #3 overall prospect for the draft. He's really got a great pitch mix

This isn't what he said. He was saying Doyle is more of a thrower and blows heat by guys in college but won't be able to do that at the next level. Anderson has better command which will translate

He's talked about this during a couple of games. He specifically mentioned how Kade has command of four pitches.

Both made major improvements. Doyle's ERA was damn near 6 at Ole miss last year.

They certainly did. Anderson went from a midweek starter/bullpen guy who had some control issues until the postseason last year to being a high first round pick dominant Friday starter in the SEC. I don't think any LSU fans expected him to be able to be what he's been this season. He started one SEC game last year and couldn't even get out of the first inning.

I remember that game against Auburn - a bunch of shifts screwed him that game.

Doyle has 4 pitches that he throws regularly in any count. Think you misunderstood Ben's comment.

To clarify….Ben’s comment was that Doyle’s main out pitch is the high heat, which gets a lot of K’s in college, but wouldn’t be as effective in MLB.
