I don’t know the details of the contract, but let’s say he did not fulfill his contractual obligations.

Will UT go after him to claw back some of what he’s been paid?

Let's stop kidding ourselves: the money is to sign with the school. I doubt there's much else to the contract other than "come to some events and let us put your picture on some stuff"

People actually believe this is legitimate NIL ?

Wow

No. It’s straight up pay for play and the University of Tennessee sued the NCAA when they (ncaa) tried to stop it

Smoke on that a while

This is what needs to be cracked down on. You should at the least prove yourself on the field before your paid.

These “contracts” are contracts in name only.

The kids have all leverage and there aid no recourse should they not love up to the demands of the “contract”

Are you under the impression your school isn't doing the same? Do you think the 5 star players you sign are in for some good ole junction boy style practices and leaving a couple million on the table from Tennessee, Oregon, uga and usc?

There is no such thing as a contract with college players anymore

Nothing they sign is worth the paper it’s signed on

No. Not a single person believes this.

Hope this helps.

NIL contracts are not for playing for a specific team. (Supposedly) They are for using Name, Image, Likeness purposes only. As long as Nico makes the contracted appearances, commmercials etc. there is nothing a collective can do as far as I understand it.

If you can’t understand the irony of Tn suing the ncaa for pay for play and then losing a player that demanded more of the pay or no play, then that’s your problem

Eta that I advised tn fans , I think even on this board, that pay for play would impact their team too, and a few ut fans said i was wrong.

My how the worm has turned

Supposedly contracts are coming with the House settlement. Of course, for every contract there is a law suit.

Yall have been doing this for decades. I've dealt with banks and taken loans before. People don't just lend you 50k for a dodge charger because you're the 2nd string running back

Are you really so ignorant that you are entirely missing the point or are you just trying to spin away from it ?

Well, the schools don't sign them so no.

As far as deals with collectives, IIRC the deals aren't allowed to start until the kid signs with the school, and they can't extend after the kid leaves the school.

So basically, the deals are over and if he had any legitimate NIL deals( ) they would get resigned in new contracts.
