Aside from that AD Kentucky team that won it all on pure talent alone, I honestly think Cal is better when he’s being doubted.
His UMASS runs, taking Memphis to runner up, yes they were stacked but it was still Memphis.
His better runs with Kentucky besides the AD title seemed to be when he wasn’t a title favorite.
Regardless of what UK fans will say, he’s a damn good coach. Think he just got comfortable and complacent there, needed the change
