Day one

For real, 3 years in a row I don't give a single shite about the football spring practice. Just more of the same with our media trying to hype up another .500 ceiling season with Pitboss

quote:pretty much this. Nothing against Pittman but he’s just Mike Anderson for football. He’s clearly better than Chad Morris but he’s never going to win more than 8 games. We saw his absolute ceiling in 21 when he got all the breaks his way. We will be lucky to ever reach that again under him.

I kinda think this season will be a fun emotional roller coaster...
BP in his presser the other day, really, really likes the WR core and the Qbacks, but praised the RB room greatly.
and our D will improve over all...
Can't wait!

I don’t recall him saying anything about crutchfield, I wonder if he’s any good..

quote:I am very hesitant to say that. I’m afraid our average defense from a year ago will be even worse this upcoming season. Bridges and singletary still don’t seem to pop at corner, our d line is noticeably worse without Nico and Landon, and the linebackers and safeties have very little depth (for what seems like 15 year now.) hopefully I’m wrong or maybe we pick up some pieces in the spring portal window but the way it looks right now we might have to outscore a bunch of teams which Bobby has done before but Taylen doesn’t give me much confidence in that.

I read that as "Be the Bacon" initially lol

I don’t think that’s an athletic department thing though lol

After seeing the Nico bullshite with Tennessee and how quickly Madden flipped on ucla late in the process to us, I’m afraid we’re just overpaying for him to redshirt then leave next year. But the damage is done and Grayson will probably also transfer next year after seeing how little the coaching staff thought of him. Instead of investing in a kid who would’ve been loyal we sold out to get some Cali kid who doesn’t give a shite about anything other than the almighty dollar.

We really can't have it both ways man. Either stick with a local kid who is overwhelmingly seen as less talented of the two, or play the game in some form.
Well?
This is what major college sports, especially football has turned in too.

Maddens price tag wasn’t anywhere near as high as his brother. Nico was a consensus top 5 recruit

I’d be disgusted if we did what 10rc did. That was ridiculously stupid….

Yeah I guess you’re right. Oh well sucks I guess I just wish we would’ve looked at the way Nico acted in his initial recruitment and stayed away from his brother in particular is all.

Nico’s little bro supposedly has the highest ceiling out of our current QB room
