OU used to have swimming. In the 1950s and early 1960s it was a top 10 program. I think they got third in NCAAs one year and they won the Big 7 and Big 8 almost every year.
They dropped off in the mid to late '60s.... Then they dropped the program in the 1980s. because they felt like they couldn't compete with the warmer weather schools.
