Is It Time to Eliminate Instant Replay in College Basketball

The Auburn - Alabama game was a great effort by both teams bur jeez: it took almost 4 hours to play 2-20 minute halves. The video replays, and there was a ton of them, took forever. Should there be a coaches challenge or at least a call on the floor to review?

It’s amazing how they were ever able to play a game without replays all those years.

I 100% agree. I fricking cringe when I see we have a game with Pat Adams at the helm. His crew has been horrendous this year, reviewing EVERYTHING.
I am not a Jay Bilas fan, but he isn't wrong. Coaches should get 1 challenge per half, if you use it and it was successful -- keep it. If was not? You're charged a time out and don't get another one until the second half.

Only thing I could figure was that they started looking and never could find the play where he got popped in the mouth, realized how far back they were going in review, and just gave up.
The handful of replays we saw weren't even the actual ones in question, I don't think.
That was weird, but I guess it's because Mo didn't say anything at the time.

There should not be instant replay in any sport, they get it wrong half the time anyway

The one I really do not get is basket interference (goal tending to us old guys). They seem to be saying, call whether you really see or not and we will review later. But you need to know if you get the points then, not 10 minutes later
