Has to play one more juco year. Huge talent but off field issues have made it a small miracle he’s even made it this far.

It's back to recruiting more locally regardless of their ranking.
A lot of transfers are guys getting closer to home. So, if you recruit locally, it gives them one less reason to leave?

I don’t really buy any of this, tbh. Hometown discount would be minimal if anything, and UGA is very much still recruiting nationally.

Ummm… Not sure I agree with this. OSU, Bama, Texas, & LSU seem to be doing “ok”. It’s still way early and I’ve learned my lesson about summer recruiting. Still a lot of time left but… the talent just isn’t elite anymore. We’ll see.
