Nice get. I was hoping he’d fill a gap at UGA

I didn't think Texas had much of a chance for him. No prior relationships that I'm aware of.

He's only been playing football for a few years. He played soccer in Germany, at 6' 3" and 300 lbs. You can't teach quick feet, especially for a 300 pounder.

Having him in for spring practice, and for 2 years will be huge.

Did he just get lost in the depth chart?

Texas doesn’t really spend in the portal much. We had a shot in this recruitment because of his visa NIL restrictions. We had the most open depth chart of any of the teams he was interested in, that was probably the deciding factor.

Not really actually. He may have gotten passed this season by Houston, the 5* frosh out of UGA.

He had the 5th most snaps at DT this season, and likely would have been 3rd/4th next year. So a depth guy but I am not sure if he's going to be a starter at Texas either. Good player though and I was somewhat surprised he left

when he got his shots, teams ran at him. He wasn't very high on the depth chart and wouldn't start this year either, even after a complete NFL exit on the Dline

Someone playing soccer at 300 lbs is a past time like you or me would play golf. No one can compete on any serious level at that size
