Haven’t posted much about all the rumors, figured it would shake out soon enough. But with no announcement its ramped up the past week. I’ve seen a lot of smoke around Jim Knowles. And with news scarce it makes sense since he plays in title game Mon night. Tue and rest if next week might be fun

Not a denial

True his reply to the question was not a denial.
But usually its the emphatic denial that is the "tell".
Like a certain former HC who emphatically said he was not going anywhere.
Knowles statement sounds neutral.

Trying to figure out why else we’d wait to announce. Especially with coaches visiting recruits. If it was someone else they’d be here by now

I did a bit of digging into the whole "is he married, is he engaged" thing. And while I couldn't confirm a fiance, I did notice that all of his previous bio's listed his wife and children as his family. Meanwhile, at tOSU it only lists his children.

So this opens up the possibility that there actually is a fiance in Oklahoma he is trying to get closer too. we will see.

There is definitely a fiancé in Oklahoma. That has been confirmed on Sooner Scoop and a few other forums with pictures. One of her songs goes/is going to SWOSU in Weatherford.

I’m excited at the possibility of Knowles coming to OU. Wish he was a 5 star safety but take what we can get

Imagine adding Knowles D mind to BV D mind

I am thinking this was a pipe-dream and won’t happen. Its way past time to have announced it. Coaches are on visits and we would have wanted him involved in that.

I think Penn State will do a rug pull here.

Yeah. Seems like OU may not be very attractive to recruits, transfers, and assistant coaches alike right now.

Could just be negotiating details though. We'll see.

I’m not going that far, its still attractive. We lulled the top QB out of portal.

Our D is top notch and ready for another step up. We can do fine with BV calling plays. With a competent OC as well. Likely we’ll just promote within.

Buckeyes are having a victory parade Sunday maybe the announcing is being delayed until after that so it doesn't detract attention from their celebration.

I get that line of thinking. But if you are taking the job you don’t wait this long and miss out on recruiting visits. I am likely wrong but I think if you want the job you take ot and run with it. It almost feels like a way to get more money out of tOSU.

I’d love to have him but D is one area we can survive if we can vastly improve our O, which I think we will.

We have to remember, we’re not used to having down cycles since 98. Now its going to happen more often with the strength of SEC. But things will hit just right and we're back up again. I think that happens in 25

I hope you're right.

The Gibs, Schnelly and Blake years felt like forever to get through.

Yup. I watched those WRs we snagged from lower colleges and each is a playmaker. Yes, its lower college but I think talent is talent and travels. Our TE game goes up too. We have a real OC. A great QB plus competition with Hawkins. Some OLine studs coming. And we started some true freshmen OLine who got pretty good late season.

Our D just needs some help. We were in every game except a few. And thats with no offense.

It doesn’t matter which job he takes, he’s going to be the highest paid. All this does is say they offered him more to stay. But they already offered him a boatload so why is he delaying it. Could be trying to squeeze every dollar or something else. We’ll know after the parade.

FYI, this is his fiancee and it looks like she is settled in locally. No idea how this shakes out but women are undefeated.
