Pio, if I became a trumpet player in the Army, would I be safe? Is that a safe Army job?

If not trumpet player, what about supply chain management or just learning to cook?

Cook MOS

Could I request to only be a cook in non-combat zones?

I'm too old to join the army, but I'm just gathering information for when I become really old and want to start making stories up at breakfast cafe old man gatherings.

HRV, those current old guys (if they are my age old) are not making them up. Still tough as a coffin nail but private unless among their own.

I dunno, had a buddy that was dropping out of the sky in all the hot spots with the Nazi's and you would never know. Just an old guy in retirement growing his tomatoes and not a peep about his WW II days.

Had some family members picking up hardware in Korea and Vietnam and you would never know either unless it was the older set at family stuff. The kids and grandkids never wanted to hear any of that.
