I’m an LSU fan, but Alabama should have been in the playoffs. South Carolina too.

It’s not the most deserving 12 teams. It’s the best 12 teams period. If you don’t want three loss teams in the playoffs than don’t move it to 12 teams

I can’t stand Alabama, but it’s obvious they would be much more competitive vs Notre Dame or Penn state. South Carolina too. They were arguably the hottest team in the country when the season ended.

SEC got stabbed in the back with this format.

I just know LSU is gonna be in one of these situations in the future and it would be an enormous melt if a team like West Virginia got in simply because they played a cupcake schedule.

Then why even play the games?

Just have Vegas simulate the season with game lines and make the 12 teams.

That is a very unpopular opinion among people who would rather Bama lose out than their own team win.

LSU fan here also and I agree…all tye committee did was show that playing an easy schedule gets their vote. A 3 lost SEC team should get in over a 2 lost ACC team when the conference was a bad as it was this year

Alabama was a top 12 team this season. They beat Georgia, and they beat them handily most of the game. They beat LSU, they beat South Carolina, they beat Missouri. You think SMU is running through that without multiple losses?

Yes they have bad losses, but that’s part of the SEC. It’s a 12 team playoff so there are gonna be 3 loss teams.

If Alabama played SMUs schedule they likely go undefeated or finish with 1 loss. Same for South Carolina.
