ESPN ranks the 52 greatest teams in college football playoff history...

Coming in at number one is unsurprisingly the 2020 Alabama team, which USA Today also designated as the best team of the playoff era.
There are a select few (those boasting a higher chromosome count than IQ) who might attempt to discredit 2020 by arguing Bama had an easier path due to limited stadium capacity, however, that claim can easily be debunked considering said games were also held in stadiums Bama has historically dominated (ie Tiger Stadium).
Number 2 is 2019 LDU which is bewildering given the fact that they had struggle wins over the likes of Texas, Auburn and Bama.
Plus consider Tua entered the game unpracticed due to missing nearly a month of action which resulted in an uncharacteristically sluggish start. Once he shook the rust off by the end of the second quarter, he balled out and even out performed the QB who won the *Heisman that year. Everyone knows had Tua not missed a month of action, Bama wins that game running away.
We can all agree (even the LSU faithful) that 2019 LDU ranking is unduly inflated. We can also agree 2022 UG would shove a fat man bomb up 2019 LDU's arse and nuke them into orbit (as would 2020 Bama).
Here is the entire list, presented in order from last to first, for your reference:

Objectively, I would rank 2019 LSU behind 2024 SMU.

2017 Oklahoma laughably low. They would beat over half the teams above them.
2017 bama way too high. And speaking of, how is 2017 UGA ranked 11 spots lower?

If Chicken were to rank the top 52 shittiest posters in TigerDroppings history, you would make a strong case for number 1 which is saying something. Some of your Bama brethren on this board are actually good and creative trolls. You’re a great value brand cajunbama.

The list is complete ESPN crap…2018 Clemson was the first 15-0 in a century and humiliated #8 2018 Alabama 44-16 in the NCG and somehow they’re #5? The only team in the list that has an argument over that Clemson team is 2019 LSU. The rest are pure garbage.

2020 Bama is undoubtably the greatest team in modern history. Unstoppable offense. 11-0 vs the SEC. We will likely never see that again. You then beat two of the Top-5 blue bloods in the playoffs Notre Dame and Ohio State.

Weird. My comprehensive rankings have 2019 LSU at number 1.
Who is this ESPN you speak of anyway?

LMAO…Clemson beat “blue bloods” ND and Alabama by a combined score of 74-19 in 2018…try harder.

We went 11-0 and outscored our SEC opponents 547 to 214. They won just about every player award, 18 postseason awards. 8 All-Americans. 13 All-SEC. Computers, ESPN, USA Today all rank them the greatest team. No team will ever accomplish that again.

2020 was an asterisk season…putting any of those teams (including Clemson) in the mix is laughable.
BTW 2020 Alabama barely won the SECCG against a mediocre Florida team.
I even recall ESPN calling the 2018 Bama team the greatest ever and better than NFLTeams right into the point where Clemson curb stomped them 44-16. Try harder.

If they did that means it would be a repeat of disparity in schedules, player opt-outs, fanless or limited-attendance games, and the NCAA granting all athletes an extra year of eligibility regardless of participation.

bullshite. I have a computer formula spitting out numbers. It says 15-0 is better than 13-0.
