I feel this new energy he’s brought could allow our team to rise up. I do worry he’s too young and inexperienced though. His slow release is gonna take some gettin use to. Hopefully we see more of a run focused plan with him. Get him out of the pocket so he can utilize his legs. Win or lose, we’re the SEC CHAMPS with arguably the toughest schedule we’ve ever played! Go Dawgs!

Give Stockton practice reps with the 1st team, he's good.

Kirby said the pick was on the coaches not getting the play in on time.

He was also about to be blindsided with another fumble. Either way, that play should have never been called. I still don’t know why we didn’t QB draw or RB up the middle to preserve that FG.

Lol that's the worst excuse ever. Props to Kirby for trying to keep his confidence up but once the ball is snapped the QB is responsible for that

I think his legs can win us a ship. Just limit is risk in the passing enough to keep teams guessing.

He gives off a far more positive vibe as a leader than just looking annoyed all the time.

Yes.

We probably wouldn’t have won the f’n SEC championship game without him.

A spark was lit immediately in the second half. You could feel it. His opening drive had more yards than the offense had in the entire first half

It’s happening again, sons !
Come on in. The water is fine boys

You could see the players cheering him on after the game with the Rabun County stuff. If he gets the reps he’ll be ready. His skills won’t be the same as Beck but his heart could cover the gap.

That kid is hungry and he’s not driving a Lambo with an Insta girlfriend.

Honestly I didn’t see much after his first TD drive, but it looks like the threat of his legs really helped open up some holes in the running game. Passing game won’t be as good but with our receivers maybe we’re better off ground and pounding?

I guess another way to look at that INT. Let's say we kick a FG and TX gets the ball back. Now TX is down 19-13 and have to have a TD and would have been in 4 down mode. They may have made a winning TD. I've doubted this team a lot the last 2 weeks and they surprised me. My main worry is we get Bama in and we have to play them. This team has serious problems with mobile/physical QB's.

Yeah…passing is underrated when your receivers can’t catch.

Who says Carson won’t be ok for the next game? He has almost a month to recover. Kirby said X-rays were ok but they will do an MRI just to be sure.

Dang. Still catching up on replays..

Holly Rowe interviews Kirby and Gunner on field after win and Kirby chokes up and has to walk away to keep from snot crying while talking about this warrior

It’s happening, sons. Why aren’t we raising he’ll and facing facts?. Something just happened .

His parents named him Gunner

Kirby said the X-rays were ok. Right now there is no definite answer but it’s just as likely he will be ok in a couple of weeks as not
Gunner did great. He is more than capable of leading the team if Carson isn’t able

Your fear of revolution is understandable. None of us asked for it. Or expected it at this late date.

But it is upon us nonetheless

Embrace it, my fellow

I’m fine with Gunnar. He is elite. But if Beck is able he has the experience that might make a difference. I’m ok with either. Both are more than capable of bringing another natty to Athens
