I don't understand how everyone is saying we will win the SEC next year when all this team did was show up for one game and beat a one dementional GT team. The win was an impressive one, but I just don't see how that makes us a top 5 team starting next season. We lose almost our entire defensive line, 2 leaders on the o-line. The corners are still a question, although I know the time with Chavis and the new coaches will help a ton. Don't get me wrong, there is no doubt this team will be better than 08, I just don't see us as a top 5 team to start the year. Also, I wouldn't put Bama third, I think some of you guys are seriously underestimating the talent in that program right now. They lost to Utah, but they are still going to have a pretty damn good year next season. I don't like them just as much as the next LSU fan, but i'm going to look at them realistically.

Alabama is losing their 2 best OL, their senior QB, Glen Coffee (their best RB this year, their OC, their DC...that's a lot of changes. Bama will still be very competitive and probably a 9-3 team, but I think LSU and Ole Miss will be better.

If Bama wins the west it will likely be due to their schedule. LSU will be more mature and Chavis may not attack like the LSU fans were used to under Pelini but they should not be out of position. Since it is in BAma next year I say Bama by 3 and that may clinch the division.

Simple, because every season is a different season. A lot of the same players, but new team chemistry, and new coaching staff. Don't act like its impossible. 2002 ring a bell for you? What happened the year after that? Just sayin.
