I understand that he is there to make observations and state his opinion, but at what point do you say enough is enough about saying USC should be in the NCG. 2 years in a row he sat there and disrespected the team that just won the NC and said USC should have been there. If anything he should campaign for a playoff instead of bitching about how USC doesnt get a free fricking pass every year.

Lest he forget, Florida lost to Ole Miss in a nailbiter while $C was manhandled by the Beavers in a game that wasn't as close as the score indicated.

well ole miss turned out to be a pretty good team but i watched most of the oregon state vs usc game and the beavers pretty much owned the game up until the middle of the 3rd quarter

Put it this way. If people in their everyday jobs went around making outlandish statements, you'd have a reputation as an idiot.

Its really pathetic, Corso = Holtz. If you don't like it campaign for a playoff, do not bitch and moan because the team you root for did not make it.

This was Florida's night. He can talk that crap on Jan 9 but tonight is classless.

I am glad it isn't only LSU that gets that crap.

Mark May just said that if Texas, Florida, or Oklahoma played USC they would all lose to USC. Holtz agreed. Disgusting, just fricking disgusting.

Nah, Corso is basically color commentary. He's a USC homer but he does represent a lot of college football fans and analysts who recognize that USC has more talent than most teams every year and have a good chance of winning the NC every year.

"Nah, Corso is basically an idiot. He's a USC homer but he does represent a lot of west coast football fans and analysts who think that USC has more talent than most teams every year and have a good chance of blowing it against a lesser team every year."

Fixed that for you!

And you are a GA fan?

The goal of ESPN is to get viewers to watch. They can accomplish this goal in a number of ways, but the easiest way is to cater to the large markets and do their best to piss everyone else off. The fact that everyone keeps watching Corso and keeps getting pissed off...but keeps on watching him to see if he changes his mind...plays right into their hands. As long as Corso continues to piss off most of the country, he will continue to have a job.

ESPN is owned by ABC. ABC televises the Rose Bowl, it's one big sporting event, basically. Football fans are stuck with ESPN's hype of USC every yr & there is nothing anyone can do bout it. The story made the Net last yr or so that one of the 3 Game Day'ers got in a pissing match in a production meeting with the ABC pencil pushers over just this issue. He was of the opinion that they should not be so openly biased....and he lost that argument, of course.

Ever notice that at the end of it all when Ohio State, USC, ND has a good year no matter if they did not win the NCG that all the media get on their knees to hype them up. This usually occurs when a southern team (SEC or B-12) wins the NCG!
Just an observation over the last couple years.

I guess Corso is still pissed about the Gamecocks disrespecting him.
