Is it too early for a “rooting interests” thread?

Maybe too early, but just looking at this weekend’s games, I started thinking about what wins would be beneficial for Bama and this is what I came up with. I can be convinced to change some, if you guys think I might be wrong.
Clemson over Pitt
Ohio State over Northwestern
Arkansas over Texas
Florida over LSU
Purdue over Penn State
Virginia over Notre Dame
South Carolina over Missouri
Wisconsin over Oregon
Tennessee over Georgia
The Arkansas/Texas or Florida/LSU results are only if you want Alabama in the SEC Championship game.
**These are sorted by game times.

Why is Arkansas/Texas only important for the SEC championship? I think 2-loss Bama is comfortably in over 2-loss Texas and 2-loss UT.
There’s no chance I’m rooting for UT either.
What is your thinking on Clemson-Pitt and Ohio State-Northwestern?

If Arkansas beats Texas then LSU could jump us for the SECCG.

Alabama needs one of Texas/LSU to lose to be in the driver’s seat for the SEC Championship game. It can still happen without either of them losing tomorrow, LSU could lose to Vandy or Oklahoma, and Texas to Kentucky or A&M, but it would be nice to go ahead and get back in control of our own destiny.
The other two are more about narrowing the amount of playoff contenders from other conferences, thereby expanding the amount of SEC teams that can get in. These are the ones I can definitely change my mind on.

We just need Georgia to beat Tennessee and Missouri to beat Arkansas and we're in.
We'd play the winner of the Texas-A&M game.
This is the scenario if Texas wins out.

LSU is already ahead of us for the SEC Championship game, if the season plays out by who is currently favored to win the remaining SEC games.
We’re still on the outside looking in, according to the SEC Calculator.

Ah, I see what I did. I’m using the same one, but I had flipped the Missouri/Arkansas game on mine and forgot.
I think the broader point still stands, we need some guys in front of us to lose if we want to be fully in control of our own destiny. I don’t want to be hanging my hopes in Missouri beating Arkansas to keep us in the SECCG.

Arent we a lock for the playoffs if we win out? I would rather be in the playoff than the SECCG.

If we win out, we're in the playoffs. That's all I care about. Whoever else makes it is irrelevant.
