They aren’t wasting any time. I wonder why UF does not have that same sense of urgency to right the ship.

My gut feeling is that Stricklin is trying to limp to the end of the season. I still believe that he will fire Napier following the FSU game, win or lose. If not, he should be fired immediately. Not having a President is really hurting the process.

yes but this hurts recruiting even if the lane train comes to town.

the best thing would be for ole miss to lose against us

making those conversations happen quicker

If we beat Ole Miss they'd give Billy a 5 year extension.

I don't think that's the path.

Recruiting is fricked this year whether we keep Billy or not, and whether or not we have to wait until after the playoffs for the next coach.

We need to portal hard with whoever replaces Billy (if he's even replaced).

The best scenario is Ole Miss missing the playoff which there is a decent chance they might depending on some other conferences results or if GA was placed over them with a win over TN.

As of today, IMO if Ole Miss beats the Gators and makes the playoffs, Kiffin will not be the coach of the Gators next season. More than likely the Gators look elsewhere, there are some other good candidates that can be discussed on another thread. If the Gators upset either LSU or Ole Miss and beat the worse FSU team in recent history, unfortunately Napier will return, and we will have this same conversation in 2025. No win situation for Gator fans.

What would be best for the Gators as far as hiring Kiffin would be for Ole Miss to beat the Gators and still not make the playoffs. I don't believe they are close to a lock to make the final 12 and likely won't get in.

I will never pull against the Gators, but this may be our only hope to get Kiffin.
