but Ole Miss never has and never will have the facilities, funding, or statewide support that Arkansas has. Not going to happen. Ever. Period. End of story.

that is very false. Ole Miss' facilities are pretty awesome, thanks to the Mannings and some VERY wealthy Alumni. Most of the state (especially Jackson and up) are die hard Ole Miss fans. Their problem with recruiting is getting these talented black athletes to a small, white dominated town.

That is complete BS. If you base everything off a star somebody gave that is crazy. He recruited well enough at UPig to to tie or win the West 3 times in 10 years. This was at Ark. Ark is not LSU, Bama or UF. Currently on Scout Upig is at 21 and OM at 28 if you are into that kind of thing. Not alot of difference. OM is in a great locatin with Memphis in its back yard. Also N MS is the one part of MS that is currently growing. Ole Miss has great facilities. Their IPF is only a couple of years old and one of the best in the country. They will never have a 90k seat stadium, but they don't need one. Notre Dame's classes have been pretty high the last 3 years, but that hasn't helped them win a game.

I think Mississippi's low income numbers skew that ratio pretty significantly.

We SHOULD win 10 games next year.

Wow. Be careful there, bro... That doesn't leave a lot of room for error.

I completely agree with you. If Nutt doesn't step up the recruiting, there will be a serious slide. I, personally am happy with 6-9 games a year.

To me, this has always been the reason that Ole Miss will never be a football powerhouse. Too many of their fans have the attitude of "party when we win, party when we lose"; or that 6-9 games won per year is satisfying.

Funny how you state in the same post that you should win 10 next year, but you'd be happy with 6.

funding

Though we don't have that Chicken and Wal-Mart money, we have plenty of funding. Our problem is that we don't have enough fans. We're working on that.

Because we are absolutely loaded next year. 16-17 returning starters from a 9-4 team with a very favorable schedule should make 10 wins a breeze next year. We are going to start 13 seniors. There has to be a rebuilding year, which is why I'd be happy with 6 wins the year after.

It's true though. I'm really kind of one of those fans. I love when we're good, but if we only win six I still had a damn good time during the season. That's really the point of football, so I'm happy with 7 wins and a bowl trip.

I'd rather have 12 though...

Well that's what happens when Ole Miss fans and Arky fans have at it. Logic thrown completely out the window. We act like big 12 fans when it comes to Nutt.
