These guys aren’t good. It’s clear now they were not SEC ready.

This isn’t a flame. I honestly think OU could be in trouble for a couple of years to come. BV is not the answer.

New Nebraska?

Or do they figure it out?

They desperately need a QB.

Tough league and it’s even tougher with a true freshman QB.

They need to throw some dollars at a transfer.

They’re shockingly unathletic at skill positions

lol, no. Nebby killed themselves by going to the B1G and cutting off their Texas recruiting pipeline..something OU still has.

It may take them a while, but first thing VB must do is hire an OC that is not only good with X's and 0's, but can also generate some recruiting momentum for offensive skill players.

They also pinned their hopes and dreams on Jackson Arnold being a Heisman caliber QB and that simply hasn't panned out. I think he will still end up being a decent QB if he doesn't transfer, but they really should have done everything they could to keep Dylan Gabriel one more season so Arnold could spend most of it watching and learning.

They need an offensive minded coach and a good QB. Also moving to the SEC during the NIL era is a tough ask.

I'd characterize it more as a talent problem.

Well we didn’t completely shite the bed in year 1.

OU is 1-4 in conference and still has to play Bama, Missouri, and LSU.

I’m not going to say it’s definitely happening but there’s a very real possibility

I don’t think Arnold was willing to wait, which is why they let Gabriel go / Gabriel hit the portal & split.

Looks like a bold move for Gabriel, which has paid off - So far!!!!

You do realize all the starting WR’s are out? Along with starting o-line. You idiots don’t know what you’re talking about.

OU is done. In the SEC they are really no better than Missouri or USCjr in the pecking order.

I said last week this season for us was a 'throwaway season'...so we were actually done before this week...in fact, we who've watched every snap of every game this season, saw the writing on the wall against the non-conference opponents and that was as ugly. That said, NIL and the portal mean a turnaround could be abrupt. We've had down phases before.

Exactly. All the while still having to pay their grifter coach almost 80 million dollars til 2031.

I’m talking long term. 7-5 8-4 team in the conference.
