In THEIR house! I get there are still some kinks to work out but gees, I'm really siding with ol Violent Hip Swivel here when I say that I'm beginning to wonder if some folks on this Georgia board are REALLY UGA fans at all. This was a great win for the program and all I'm seeing is more whining and slashing of Beck, WRs, Bobo, we can't run the ball, etc. etc.
Gees yall, we mopped the floor with the #1 team in the country. We have a bye week to get MORE players healthy and work on those kinks that need to get ironed out. Our D looked like it did during the 2021 season. And the natty is STILL within reach. I'm feeling alot better about this season than I was at halftime of the Bama game.
Vent over....stone me if it makes you feel better....

That had to be one of the most satisfying wins ever. TX got all of the love, they had celebs on their sideline, in their house at night, etc. And then here comes poor old Georgia and we just started whipping their arse from the first snap. We WERE 2008 Bama in that game.
I don’t care about dropped passes, Beck, etc. After the first several games seeing our defense come out and set the tone was awesome. And even though some people said it….i don’t know that anyone truly believed we’d come out and shut them down like that. I think most fans thought that we could beat those guys but would have to play at a level we haven’t seen yet this year. We did.
The icing on the cake was Manning coming in and getting blasted. Then overcoming the penalties, targeting calls, etc. and still winning by two scores.
Truly an arse whipping and I hope now this defense and staff can keep the bar set at that level. If so, we’ll be in good shape to make a run.

I've been repeating that to myself since the click hit 0. Leaving the stadium I was in the car with my buddy and he was griping abotu bobo's lack of running, kirby's clock mismanagement, drops, and a dozen other things and I was just thinking "dude, we just whipped the #1 team in the country on the road. I'll be annoyed wiht all that other stuff later but hell let's at least enjoy the win tonight".
It's been a while since we even had the opportunity to have that kind of win/feeling. I think it'd probably be the natty in Indy. I'm talking about a game where the two teams were legit equals or maybe the other team was favored, and we really came out and made a statement. Games like Michigan or TCU don' really qualify because we all knew that we were clearly superior to those teams. The '23 SECCG may have counted but obviously we lost. Maaaybe the '22 UT game since they were "#1" but again, we knew we were the better team plus we had them at home.
This game felt like the Richt era when we were still desperately starved for success. Almost like a 2006 Auburn where nobody gave us a chance against a better team (on the road) and we came out and just laid the wood. I miss having that feeling! Compare thsi one to let's say two weeks ago against AU at home where the atmosphere resembled a funeral and we sleepwalked through a lazy couple TD victory then forgot about the game as soon as it ended. I much prefer these kinds instead lol.

What happened again.. I forgot, remind me!
In all seriousness I was surprised at how well the defense played, it was 21-22 all over again! Is it due to health (players coming back) was it scheme, a little bit of both? Need to keep that going, UF in a few weeks, I hate them!

Whoever the first person on here was to describe the game as "satisfying" nailed it. That was the most satisfying road win I can ever remember. It's even better these days with an all you can eat buffet of replays and highlights and conversation online. ...The 2003 Tennessee game is the only other one I can think of that stacks up, just because that was back before kicking the shite out of Tennessee in Neyland was easy. 2008 LSU game felt really good at the time, but the blackout funeral game was right after that, so that wasn't good.
People obviously are free to post just about whatever here, but they don't always understand context. If you start a thread on here a few hours or the next day after a game like Texas and wonder why "my favorite true freshman didn't play more" or "why'd we call that play in that situation," you just come across as insufferable and incapable of finding satisfaction as a fan.
Even Kirby has a "24 hour rule" for the players to soak it in and have fun. Maybe this board needs a 24 hour rule after a big win and a moratorium on bitching and nitpicking.

That one was actually on par. TN #1, greatest show on turf, all the fans saying the offense was unstoppable, Hooker was Superman, Heupel was a genius, you can’t win with Bennett….
Then the heavens and the Dawgs opened up a can of whoop arse. Stet did his phone call taunt…straight beautiful game and TN fell back into obscurity.
ETA: we are living in the Golden Era of UGA football and need to enjoy it with every fiber of our being.

oh for sure, outstanding win. Really just splitting hairs here but it's fun to split hairs when talking about huge wins ha. The only reason I'd give this weekend the nod is becuase of our side of things. Texas and UT were both great, #1, high flying offense, etc. But our side looks/looked quite different. In 2022 we were undefeeated, defenidng champs, #1 in one of the polls, and had beaten up on half our scheudle already. This year we already had a losss, had squaked by kentucky, half assed our way thorugh AU and MSU. There were very legitimate questions about how good we even are and if we could compete. I think that's why this one was more satisfying, beuase the results were NOT what we were mentally expecting going in. I think in 2022 many people felt we would take it to tennessee and we did .
