Alabama, Auburn, Miss State and Florida were smart enough to see the NCAA was a terrible organization even then.
McWhorter was the commissioner who is a Georgia guy from the word go he hated Florida. Politics from the word go.
Those 6 schools were cowards not to support Florida as the SEC champion.

Example of some of the rules broke.
Walk ons sleeping on floor in football dorm. Because of no place to stay.
Walks on eating at cook outs for scholarship players because walks have no money and are hungry. So walk ons eating hot dogs broke a rule. Lol
If you are against Florida winning the 1984 SEC title you support walk ons living homeless and going hungry.
Hard to believe anybody would support the NCAA.
