In 2024, the SEC Championship will not have divisions. Instead, the two teams with the best records in conference play will meet in the championship game in Atlanta on December 712.

It seems the extra game is a disadvantage, if you can still get in, or is the bye week offset the disadvantage? There is a bye with the conference champions, right? But, the loser will have to play the extra game, if they get in.

I think conference championships should end.

Isn’t there a bye in play for winning the conference or do the highest ranked automatically get a bye?

Nope. Any team plays to win every game. Sometimes you just get beaten.

Why would a coach sign up to have to play 4 win-or-go-home games in order to win a national championship when instead they could play 3?

You wish that there was one less Saturday of college football each year?

Are you suggesting that the coaches intentionally lost a game?

If so, that is asinine.

Easy...

Non-SEC officiating throughout the playoffs.
