Georgia...............................................................Auburn

431.5 (75th)..........Off. Yards Avg. (Rank)............466.0 (13th)
288.3 (16th)..........Def. Yards Avg. (Rank)...........329.0 (79th)
129.3 (102nd).......Rush Yards Avg. (Rank)........171.2 (62nd)
302.3 (19th)..........Pass Yards Avg. (Rank).........294.8 (25th)
4 (33rd).................Turnovers (Rank)...................15 (133rd)
4 (93rd).................Takeaways (Rank).................4 (93rd)

Stat-wise compared with previous years, this is certainly not up to UGA's usual championship standards. Note the turnovers/takeaways by both teams = awful.

Sucks to have to play a decent schedule, doesn’t it?

What are the Vegas odds we don’t have a turnover?

Got to be like powerball I would guess.

Betting $1 straight up on AU without a turnover in this game would pay $1,000,000,000,000,000

"decent" lol. I'd say a schedule consisting of teams currently ranked:

1st - on the road at night
2nd - on the road, likely night
4th
12th- on the road
15th- neutral

is a bit more than just "decent". The only reason the team ranked 12th is ranked where they are is becuase they were upset but another physical SEC team that we've also played, on the road, at night.
I'd venture to say there aren't MANY teams in the last decade with a schedule of that caliber. Sure it's happened but it's certainly not the norm.

Tell us about all of these mystery seasons in recent years when Alabama played such a brutal schedule

they play LSU every year, duh. Therefore a west schedule is exponentially tougher than an east schedule.

Hey ole miss was really good last year! We played them last year and beat the shite out of them.
Auburn is good sometimes! We play auburn yearly

Sooo that's about it...they have LSU on their schedule.

It's all myth of the SEC West shite. There was a stretch of time between about 2011-21015 when the West was legitimately really deep and really tough, but those days have been gone for a long time.

I woulnd't go that far. The west HAS been tough and the better division for some time, but it's not so much a "sec west" thing as it is an "alabama" thing.

But alabama doesn't have to play themselves, so when STRICTLY talking about it from a bama schedule perspective...yeah it's a silly argument. The last ~3 years or so the best team not named alabama or georgia has been Tennessee, who both of us play yearly. So it seems then that the big talking point is comparing the #3 teams, so I guess their argument boils down to something along the lines of "ole miss is better than missouri" or something.

It's because it's a terrible take lol. We had the #1 SOS in 2021 & 2022 and have been in the top 10 SOS every year for ages.

If someone wants to insult UGA football, there are so many better ways to do it
