I figured it has something to do with ancestry or 23 and me dna.

Idk did they even have any evidence to collect? I’m guessing maybe they got a lead on a potential confession.

I wouldn't doubt if they connect it to Charles Ray Vines. There's been a lot of investigation into him lately around the Melissa Witt case as well, so they may have uncovered some connecting evidence.

Or... it's the other suspect..Billy Jack Lincks.

BTW: if you're into podcasts, give a listen to the recent "Pretend" series about Ladonna Humphrey called "Who's Afraid of LaDonna Humphrey." Starts out as look at, Humphrey, one of the foremoest "experts" on the Missy Witt case but then goes off the rails as it digs into the psychotic nature of LaDonna Humphrey. '

It's really wild, and a lot of the issues explored are still developing and being uncovered.

Well guess I was wrong. Cliffs: BJL, owner of the red truck, apparently they found a blonde hair (maybe some other dna/ fabric) and it was sent off for testing last year. Compared with Morgan’s mother it was a positive match for one of her children (obviously Morgan). Sad thing is the POS was already in prison for similar for attempting to abduct another child and died in prison in 2000. So unlikely they find out exactly what happened to her.

I would argue child molestation is.

Comments from todd yakoubians fb page sharing the story.

The Alma Police just want to say they closed this case! To test evidence from a truck the man owned in 1995 is the dumbest thing I ever heard. The test says it’s Colleen the mother’s hair or possibly her offspring! The parents know what happened and the mom was in that truck! They are just trying to set up a deadman! Alma police shouldn’t be allowed to investigate anything if this how they operate! What a disgrace!

Well he's an idiot.

My family has been friends with the Nick family since before I was born (I'm 52). John Nick (Morgan's father) is a close friend of mine, he's one of the best men I know. John was devastated when Morgan was abducted, to the point of being clinically depressed. John knew nothing.

Colleen, I don't know her very well as she obviously married into the Nick family. From what I know of her I don't like her, but I'd venture to guess she knew nothing either.

I will absolutely, as far as John goes, stake my life that he had or has no idea what happened. He was not involved in any way, shape, or form.

ETA: This dipshit shouldn't be making this kind of speculation, stuff like that can ruin someone. John has been through enough and anyone that knows him would agree.

Todd Yakoubian sounds like a fricking idiot and clearly has zero understanding of how DNA works. Good grief. What a wackjob.

Gotcha. Sounds like a typical Fort Smith Facebook user then (if you read Fort Smith Resident’s group on Facebook, you know).

What do you think about Ebby Steppach? It's a pretty odd coincidence her uncle has had 4th degree sexual assault charges brought against him and is a known psychopath

Ebby Steppach

Totally forgot about this one. I would say its someone she knew and someone who knew the area.

From the dr. Phil show
quote:

The biggest shock to come out of the episode... the family said that the Little Rock Police Department are claiming Ebby took her own life.

"That's insane. That's when I just said 'I'm done.' I just closed the book on getting anymore help with the Little Rock Police Department," said Laurie Jernigan, Ebby's mother.

Katherine Townsend, a private investigator, actually went down into the pipe where they found Ebby's body to test that theory.

"Ebby's body was found down this drain pipe. She was over 70 feet in there," said Townsend. " To demonstrate how absurd the idea is that she would have gone down there on her own I'm actually going to crawl down in there."

During the episode, Townsend climbed down the ladder from the manhole that led to the drainpipe.

She went as far as trying to belly crawl into the pipe to see if it was possible for Ebby to do that on her own. She got her torso in before she came back out because it was too narrow and she would become stuck.
