He doesnt win ball games. He finds ways to lose them. Even when you have a two score lead, he will find a way to lose. Need a clutch play? Dont count on Thorne. If you need to throw a pick 6 to blow the game? Payton is your man.

Hugh is a fricking loser too. His comment in the presser about needing to protect the two score lead in the fourth was all i needed to hear.

That's not even what we did. We were throwing it all over the field up two scores against a defense that was getting gashed.

Up 21-10, as soon as Jarquez had that amazing run, I screamed at the TV “keep running the ball”. Of course, we didn’t. Two incomplete passes followed and we were trying for a 51 yard field goal with a freshman kicker. I knew at that point that we would find a way to squander the lead and lose the game. And that’s what is most frustrating. We don’t stick with what works; we try to get cute and force terrible passes. The Hubris of Hugh is what will do him in unless he does a lot of serious self reflection. The playcalling is just truly head scratching.

That’s what Hugh meant by protecting the lead. Thorne read the box as a pass friendly box on 2 plays in a row when we were a few yards from FG range and he went with the pass play. Even with not great numbers in the box we should,have ran Hunter on 1st and 2nd down they were tired and Hunter was fresh. Even if we don’t make a 1st down and run it 3 times we take a couple minutes off the clock and get a FG try.

How am I staying trashy?
In one thread, I’m getting hate for simply saying Auburn gave up 17 unanswered at home and CHF has yet to coach 4 worthwhile quarters of football.
