Again..

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s betting on the Auburn games.

Freeze chewed him out a few plays before the INT for not running the ball on the RPO.

On the pick6, Thorne had the OPTION on what to do.. Freeze said wrong decision was made and should have ran.

CHF then said Peyton has to understand the situation better. It you don’t know by your Graduate year, then you don’t have it. He’s trying too hard to be the Hero.

My thoughts is let’s just throw W. White in and let him learn the speed. The only win left that (should) be easy is La Monroe.

No. That was a called pass play against a zero
Blitz.

Well if you are Hugh and playing the long game why spend a bunch of NIL on transfer QB when you have a 5th year player coming back and White coming in to redshirt. I think you do what we did and that is to get skilled players in place to give White/Hank a good group of WRs. We had so many holes to fill it just didn’t make sense on sinking a ton of cash into a QB. Also it is almost uncanny how Thorne manages to throw the fricking game.

It’s on everyone from coaches to the kickers. Let’s stop blaming individuals

He did it all last season. If nothing else, at least 1 other option should’ve been brought in.

Well said..

When is the last time we had a decent QB day in/out other than Cam/Marshall? I’m thinking Brandon Cox?

Bo was good at home, but he was Thorne-ish on the road…

The bad thing is if he’d have put some air on the ball, the WR had broken free. Instead, he tries to throw a line drive in the middle of the field.

Thorne is terrible, there’s no way around that. But the entire QB room is terrible, and everyone knows that. Either Freeze was deluded in the offseason when he decided not to invest in a QB, or he is just incompetent. This whole situation is on him. Putting them in terrible situations with strange play calling doesn’t help. That whole game could have been over with if he had continued to run the ball after Jarquez’s big run, up 21-10. But then we tried to get cute and force the passing game.

Peyton Thorne lost the Cal game, the Arky game and the game today. His play was so poor the last 9 mins of the game it is abundantly clear this was the case. I’m sorry but those are the facts when you watch the tape and look at the stats. I know they are “just kids”, however when they demanded to be paid that changed for me. This is a big money sport with major implications on outcomes. So if you want the carrot you have to accept the stick when you shite the bed.

I don't know, maybe to do his job and win games and not embarrass Auburn weekly.

He lost the Cal game. He was at worst neutral in today’s game.

So we pay a portal QB 1.5 million and we don’t sign some of the WRs or O linemen? When he gets body bagged or throws it to the Shed Jacksons of the world only to be dropped or not even get open. Then what? Is that still Hugh’s fault? We had too many needs that a good QB would never be able to cover up so we had to take a meal piece approach.

This is all on Freeze! Poor clock management at the end of the first half and rushed a walk in Freshman kicker on the field who had to hurry a kick and thus missed. Had him screwed up for the rest of the game. Freeze is a poor on the field coach and this game showed it.

Tell me you didn’t watch his utter collapse from the 9 min mark of the 4th quarter on.

I said preseason nobody should expect more than 5-7 wins when PT was named the QB again. 5 wins might be a pipe dream now. You don’t totally tune up your engine, put on new tires, etc. but still stick with the same shitty driver and expect different results.

We would be 5-0 right now with even below average QB play and coaching. Instead we are getting atrocious levels of both.

Well at this point if Hugh is playing a long game for next year he will start Hank and split 2nd team reps with White and Thorne.
