I don't know a lot about him other than that he was very successful as a defensive coordinator at Clemson. I just watched his press conference and he seems like a really good guy.

Venables is more frank than many coaches in his position are. If he is in the mood in his press conferences, he will say exactly what is on his mind and he doesn't mince words.
He doesn't seem like a bad guy and I have no reason to "hate" on him.
