"illegal contact". Was it a group/guy from Atlanta? Just curious? Why don't these sleezeballs get called out? Attorney General of AL getting involved.

it was an alleged "runner" between a couple of agents and someone in Andre's family. I cant recall his name but he use to play for Univ. of Miami and has done some jail time. The NFL has been watching this guy for a long time
The Atty General is getting involved b/c Alabama has very strict laws dealing with sports agents dating back to the Antonio Langham debacle

Is it possible to educate players and family about the consequenses of allowing this? Also, maybe offer a reward for turning someone in.

Yeah. They were trying to get a casino license. EWE went down selling licenses to clowns like Eddie Debartolo.

From what I read, it was an OKLAHOMA agent/booster. But, since the major media isn't picking up the story AND the NCAA has declared that it is NOT an NCAA matter, I don't think it was anyone involved with an agency. Obviously, if the NCAA thought Smith took improper money, it would be investigating possible forfeiture of previous games, etc.

Coach Saban suspended Dre when he DID NOT HAVE to DO that!

From the agents profile:
Is this really the guy who supposedly had contact with Andre?

In his most recent endeavor he recruited JaMarcus Russell, who was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 Draft. Russell went to the Oakland Raiders.

How can a state have laws preventing consenting adults from contacting or contracting? I understand the desire and reason for such laws, but how are they constitutional? Seems like this would be a NCAA matter only.

No, after the Antonio Langham shite in 93 Alabama passed laws dealing with this. go to al.com and see if you can pull anything up I am 100% certain our Attorney General is looking into this matter
