Oh wait, Georgia just got one.
The state of Alabama at least has UAB thank God.
Auburn has kind of a voodoo type med school.

This is SEC related because med schools used to have their own football teams

Because UAB was the University of Alabama Med School until they split off to become an independent university in 1969 - you idiot.

Georgia used to have separate schools for separate disciplines, UGA Liberal arts, Business etc Tech Stem, and Medical College of GA Medicine...
I suspect UGA Med School is full speed ahead after overcoming some politely issues.

UAMS in Little Rock is not "UALR Med School," it's University of Arkansas med school

UGA didn't have a medical school because there were 5 other medical schools in the state so it wasn't deemed necessary by the board of regents for the state of Georgia. Particularly they didn't want to draw people away from the Medical College of Georgia.
But GA is now having a shortage of doctors, so they added it.

Mercer and Morehouse serve a purpose... that being providing doctors for rural and inner city hospitals respectively. Mercer only accepts GA residents and mostly only accepts those in rural GA who plan to practice in those areas. 80% of their graduates work in rural Georgia. Morehouse doesn't limit their acceptance to GA but does focus on providing doctors for rural and inner city location.

Because we both have law schools that teach youngsters on how to live off doctor money. Malpractice, divorce, extortion, etc…..
