for two reasons:
1. For getting the monkey off their back and winning a bowl.
2. To their fans, for not doing that dumb "SEC" chant.

As for the not doing the SEC chant, they were so stunned about winning that they had no idea what to do.

And because it's just dumb? I hope that the Big 10 doesn't do that in any wins this year.

Very happy for Vandy. Odds were heavily against them vs a BC team that had won 8 bowl games in a row and ranked #2 in the ACC.

Vandy won a bowl game and Tennessee had to sit at home and watch. Things are a changing in Tennessee.

I was at the game (it was FREEZING btw) and there was an SEC chant at the end!
But it was really neat to see, Vandy fans were jumping up and down with pure joy. Some were even crying...
It was quite a spectacle!!!!
