I think its percentage of viewers in those areas who watch CFB and not based on total viewers.

I thought Texas was supposed to be a football crazy state. I guess not if this map is correct.

Even sketchier that people just look at that and buy into it without question.

Do you have real data that counters the above graphic, then?

With all the avenues to watch network television how the hell do they track that. I had to watch ABC the first part of last fall on my phone and stream it to my TV because them and direct TV were in a pissing match.

He never posted a reference link. I just found it amusing is all, but its likely not based on facts. It could be close but without a reference who knows.

Gotcha.

That’s a solid objection. I thought you were saying something more along the lines of, “Everyone I know in my OKC suburb has the Sooners on every fall Saturday.”

And it's got to be per capita, no way Nebraska has more cfb viewers than GA.

Big city people don’t watch (percentage-wise) and Texas has like 3-4 biggest cities in the country. The rest of Texas is football crazy but the city population drowns it out when talking per capita.

Except that map doesn’t show that much at all, if it is indeed a “per capita college football viewership” map. A lot of the smaller town/rural/sparsely populated areas in Texas don’t particularly watch all that much, either (again, according to the map), especially compared to a lot of the rest of the South.

It probably is, but GA has pro teams, Nebraska does not. That matters too.

But all that aside, 10 year old data is useless data. Programs have risen and fallen during that decade. That affects viewership.

I live in dallas and the majority of people I know are way more college football fans than nfl fans. Mexicans aren't big college fans and they're like half the population, Maybe that skews the numbers
