Ironically, you want your qb to take chances in preseason games as they are simply there to learn what not to do in live action when it counts.

Saying it was precautionary because of a little tightness and didn’t want him to get an injury. If for some reason he can’t go week 1, they will likely pick someone up as Garoppolo cannot play in the first 2 games
