Our offense is going to be a ground and pound one. This is really a good idea for us as it will help the defense. A person, who I know has the ability to watch practice, stated that after what he has seen our defense is going to have to carry the team to begin the season ( I personally think this years defense will have that ability). Learning the Sean Elliott blocking scheme takes time so I don't expect it to be clicking at the start, the person that has watched practice stated that the ol is still in the beginning to learn stage. If you listened to any of the offensive lineman interviews you will hear them talk about being physical but they also talk about having to clean up some mistakes so this confirms what I read.

Rocket Sanders is said to be back and could really be special this year .

I also look for Dylan Stewart to make some plays that remind us of Clowney.

Expect the defense to play much better and expect frustrations with our offense to start the season.

Been reading about the team a little bit this AM (woefully behind on keeping up this year). When did we switch to a 3-3-5?

Was looking at our 2 deep today and noticed we're a really mature team. So I crunched some numbers and came up with the following. Both offense and defense are more that 50% 5th year players. 55% for the offense and 59% for the defense. For the tabulation I moved all RS up a year from their class. For example a RS Sophomore I'd count in the 3 tier. Here's the break down.

Offense 2 deep
5+ 54.55%
4 9.09%
3 4.55%
2 27.27%
1 4.55%

Defense 2 deep
5+ 59.09%
4 4.55%
3 22.73%
2 13.64%
1 0.00%

I had no idea our players were that old.

How quickly our OL pickup the new scheme will decide our offense this year. Defense should be much better HOWEVER they still gave up some 3rd and long during the scrimmage Saturday and I'm personally not comfortable with our corner backs.

I expect almost nothing anymore.

4-8? 5-7?

Eternal, Sisyphean frustration.

Hopefully we are being lulled to sleep by last years frustrations.

Ir this team is indeed "old" they may make some noise..
