Today is supposed to be the first scrimmage of fall camp. Last drink press conference he stated there's a lot of sloppy football being played right now, and they are working on the OL. I hope that group pulls it together or any high hopes of our season making the playoff is in jeopardy (regardless of the D)

Hopefully his expectations are high and props for calling them out publicly.

Agreed. Its the first week of camp with the new guys. They have time to figure it out

And, as is the case with most teams, the defense is ahead of the offense early on in camp. This bodes well for the defense, imo.

Early prediction, daylan and JWJ both will be drafted in the top 50. Yes that’s 3 tigers in the first 2 rounds .

There aren't many observations a fella can take away from these short clips, but in most of them you can get a sense of who's at the top of the depth chart by who's at the head of drills.
As for DT, the top 4 seem to be Williams, McClellan, Webb and Marshall. I was hoping Gracial would rise up and challenge for PT, but so far it doesn't appear to be the case.

Jarod Hamilton with PM reported that Nic DeLoach is rotating with Pride on the first team defense. The RSFr jumped three players to be the first man off the bench at CB. Marcus Clarke was a very dependable part of the rotation last year so Nic must be having an outstanding camp.

Our depth and athleticism on defense may be at an all-time high. I know Drink was impressed with DeLoach's athleticism out of high school. Sounds like his confidence and technique are catching up fast.

Webb had two games of solid tape vs SEC interior olinemen (2022 vs Missouri and 2023 vs Auburn) for Davis to look at prior to taking him from the portal. He isn't prototypically big but his opponent will be getting everything he has in the tank every snap he's in the game. It will be interesting to see what he does under Davis's coaching.

Practice #12
Looks like they were enjoying the cool rain. Not your typical mid-Mo August 12th weather, so better get out in it when you can. Excellent decision to practice at Faurot today.
