Could we see Nick take the same path as Mack Brown or one similar. Mack “retires” from football for a few years and then ends up at UNC where they have been good since his arrival and ranked.
Steve Spurrier “retired” from Florida and went to USC and had them rolling for a couple years before the wheels feel off and he quite
Could we see Saban get the itch again after being out for be game a couple years and take a big job with plenty of NIL money if it comes available? I would say over the next couple years we could see a couple SEC s open up that May interest Saban.
Florida is about to open up, Oklahoma in a couple years if Venables didn’t win, USCjr job will be open in couple years if Beamer can’t turn it around this year. I’m not inferring Heupel is on the hot seat, but his seat will be warm and fans will start to lose faith if he don’t make the CFP over the next 2 years with NICO at QB.

There are no more hills to climb for the greatest to do it. This guy is killing it on ESPN. His voice has never been louder and that will expand as time goes by. Coach Saban is a forward-thinking person. Sankey said on stage that he has always gone to Coach for his football insight. That won't change now. That smile that he can't seem to wipe off his face and his unique sense of humor tell me he's happy and found his place.

This blows me away with Tennessee fans. Do yall realize where yall were before Heupel?

Also, are you under the impression that UTK will hire Nick Saban if Heupel gets fired? Holy shite

Failing to win a title or at least play for one this season would be a MASSIVE disappointment either way.

Saban won’t return to coaching. Without total control of all aspects of the program, for things like NIL, transfer portal, and constant replacing assistants, he is too old to continue to grind out every single day to keep going. He will stay involved to try and keep college football from imploding, both at Alabama and nationally, but not with a coaching headset on.
The others left for different reasons. Spurrier went to NFL then back to SC to prove he could still coach. Brown was basically fired from Texas.
Urban Meyer might be a more relatable case, but he was much younger and wanted to coach in NFL. OSU wasn’t in the SEC and was the big dog in their conference which was far less competitive than the SEC. Of course, his “character” and “integrity” caught up with him.

Tenner will lose to Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma. 3 losses won't have you in the top 12.

Based on the fact that Saban and Mack Brown are the same age, this is an incredibly shitty comparison.

I’m a Bama grad and Saban fan, but I’m hoping some coach undresses him at a press conference like he did others on occasion.

Why the frick would Nick Saban ever be asking questions at another coach’s press conference? You ever seen Herbstreit or Reese Davis ask a question at a press conference?

Mack Brown and Nick Saban are the same age. Right now. Mack re-took the UNC job at 67. In 3 years Saban would be 75.
Steve Spurrier took the South Carolina job when he was 60. Saban is 72.
Saban isn't going back to coaching at 75 years old.

You need to take Saban's name out of your filthy Tennessee mouth.

Nick office at BDS is like one of those glass tubes with a cigarette in it that reads, "break in case of emergency"

Press conference, interview, whatever you want to call it. Use your imagination, then ponder the post.

You calling me an alter? Please say yes. I’ve never been called one before! What’s my other name(s)?

Huge difference: Mack Brown was basically fired, he didn't really retire.
