The Western 70% feels like kansas until you hit Kansas City
Columbia feels like a little town in the middle of nowhere

I've had a good time at Lake of the Ozarks but it's not significantly different from a hundred other lake "resort" spots. Fun if you're in the area but not worth travelling for.
