Oklahoma's definitely a "southern" state. Everyone there sounds like they're from Georgia. But they don't belong in the SEC.
Mizzou is a yankee state 100%.

I have a house in Oklahoma that is only 23 miles from Arkansas. All 3 of my local news stations are out of Louisiana. They advertise a steakhouse out of Shreveport that is "the best steakhouse in the deep south." The sports departments only discuss LSU football.
I can't even get Dish or DirecTV out of DFW because I'm closer to "the deep south." If I need to call for service, they send a tech out of Arkansas. Half the license plates are Louisiana and Arkansas.
