Nice job OP of presenting statistical data to the discussion. Unfortunately most of the insufferable smooth brains here at SECRant can’t discuss anything without pure shite talk. They must sit around staring at clocks.

It's funny. I read the title and the first thing that popped into my head was that it seemed like Texas and Texas A&M never seemed to have vintage teams in the same season.

Then I read the OP and obviously that was exactly what it was about.

That hurts the game some in terms of the national focus.

But I also think the Thanksgiving day tradition actually hurt it a bit nationally as people aren't as focused on football that evening as they are on a regular Saturday.

I think the Thanksgiving day schedule for both it and the Egg Bowl also limits the type of hijinks you see from the students and crowds like you might otherwise get at rivalry games.
