They see the bright side of a coach with a ton of experience and overall wins. The rest of us see a coach with every opportunity to win meaningful games over a long career at ND who literally always embarrassed himself when put in the games a brand like ND affords you.

Saban lost to UAB and got blown out in the Cotton Bowl before he won his first national title.

LSU fans don't care what the rest of you see. 90% of you are smooth-brained dumbshits who need ESPN and the media to tell you what to think.

Saban was not coaching that long as Kelly has right now. Kelly still couldn't get his team to a NYE bowl game win. That is shocking! Drinkwitz has already accomplished that with lesser talents. Who would have thought of that would've happened before Kelly even at Notre Dame and currently at LSU.

That's true at LSU. At Alabama he inherited a terrible Shula roster and went 7-6, including a home loss to Louisiana Monroe in his first year. In year 2 he went 12-0 and then lost to Tebow in the SECCG and Utah in the Sugar Bowl. Year 3 was a national championship. Now that's a 3 year program turnaround arc, it's not the arc Kelly appears to be in.

What do a few bad early Saban losses while building up a program have to do with Brian Kelly literally never winning a big postseason game while consistently getting the opportunity to play in them?
