Paying for a coach is not the same as pre-paying for players (a decent but nothing special one in Damonic Williams case) to come into a program and cause culture issues because the questions start getting asked by the players why does this guy get $1.5M and I got promised nothing. Especially if he ended up a rotational guy at best, then the culture around the program can really get shaky.

What you said is entirely irrelevant to promising players large amounts of money before they ever step foot on campus.

This whole ordeal is what will separate the good coaches from the great coaches in this era. Handling payroll and team culture. Someone with an NFL background probably has a head start. If you can't keep role players happy, your depth will suffer. When depth suffers, you lose in the SEC.

Donor’s/Boosters are pulling money out of LSU. No ROI when the over paid staff wastes too much paid talent.

Kelly is a putz and a carpetbagger.
