Where Cal has issues

#1 In game coaching adjustments, cost him many a game

#2 Listening to others when he is wrong

If the Hogs can fix those, you will do well. If not, prepare for disappointment.

I don't disagree with these two points in any fashion. But, we had a raging lunatic on the sidelines take us to two elite 8's and a sweet 16 for the 1st time in forever... lol.

Nobody had a bigger ego than Muss, or spouted off more than Muss.. But he knew how to market a program and get transfers. He did not develop anyone at all, or much anyways. His temper got him in trouble with officials, donors, etal.
Cal will be great with donors for a few years at least, and keep things rolling. PR will not be an issue, Talent will not be an issue. We will see if he is willing to change anything, by the looks of it... he is at least getting more higher rated portal players for this 1st class (a necessity).

And making fun of Pope isn't cool. I do not think he is the answer at KY myself, but he may surprise us? but the Dope stuff is childish! WPS

Here's what will happen with Cal at Arky:

year 1: a big surprise. arkansas seriously underperformed last year and Cal gets them to a nice 20-win regular season. They win 1 or 2 in the SEC tourney and make the NCAA. They're out in round one but it's a big improvement and shows hope!

year 2: similar to year 1. but that's ok, he's just building his program

year 3: slight regression. miss the tourney

year 4: wait, this dude is 70?

no year 5

He won at Kentucky. Then he got old. Do you plan on making him younger somehow?

KY fans like to brush over the fact they had the weakest NIL budget in the league and have tranfer acceptance qualifications that would rival Harvard even though they are one of the worst schools in the SEC. But carry on with the narrative that it was Cals fault and not they the university failed to keep up with the changing environment

Being old doesn’t mean he can’t win.

Its interesting the lengths you're taking to carry Water for Calipari's last few years making up things about NIL and acceptance. Must be what Cal is planting in the medias ear.

Last years Kentucky team included:

2 lottery picks
An All-American
3 of your starters next year (assuming he starts his best players)
2 additional McDonald's All Americans
and a 4* transfer

and lost to Oakland.

You piggies still obsessed with Kentucky basketball good luck dealing with calipari who more worried about getting players to NBA than winning national titles. Believe me you will regret taking calipari.

The two years prior they had lottery picks, all-conference transfers, the ncaa player of the year (a transfer player no less), and top recruiting classes each year.

…and routinely got beat by decent coaches with average to good players.

You complain about your former coach, yet your new coach hasn’t ever won a tourney game and BYU upgraded their coach

Most Arkansas fans will be happy with improved recruiting and some tourney runs over the next 5 years. Anything extra is icing on the cake. Odds are good that Cal learned from his mistakes at Kentucky.

Thanks for being Cal’s G-league Kentucky

You Arky people seem to overlook the fact that your coach was sent packing by Kentucky. You are constantly chest thumping over a discarded coach that you found dumpster diving.

Haha. Not good enough? His run at UK was better than average over the history of the program. Holy shite Kentucky fans drink up the koolaid the media. I’m not even a Hog fan that’s going to guarantee basketball success in Cal here, but the level of mental gymnastics being done at Kentucky to make themselves feel like this is what they wanted is off the frickin charts

That’s incorrect. Kentucky never fired Cal. In fact, their AD was fully expecting him back.

Cal left Kentucky on his own.

Piggies are delusional. Good thing they were dumb enough to buy out calipari's contract saves Kentucky some money.

Ky fans are are in their feelings. They wanted a splash hire and got a belly flop. They are trying to convince themselves that Dope can get it done and they are over Cal. However there are 10 different post pages long about Cal and AR. Go to a Ar. Board and theres nothing about KY or Dope. Dopy and his band of role players are a non factor going forward
