So you are making the argument that OU played teams that won a lot of titles, more than the rest of the SEC minus Alabama and Tennessee. How many National title winners have OU played over the years that weren't Texas and Nebraska?


There is also the caveat that back in the day when it was OU, Texas and Nebraska the other 8-9 teams on the regular schedule consisted of 25% of teams with an over all history of losing records and a bunch of patsies who ain't ever been any good like Kansas and Texas Tech. It is easy to play a one game regular season and remain healthy and ready for one bowl game....it is an entirely different undertaking to play a SEC schedule, play in the SEC CG and then win 2 or more games against a quality opponent to win a natty. OU and Texas can do it for certain but the days of lookinig at the schedule in May and only seeing Texas and Nebraska or over....
