Some SOS’s are more “solid” than others.
Take Iowa. Kirk Ferentz has racked up two 10-win seasons in the past three seasons. How has Iowa’s schedule compared to Auburn’s for example the past 3 years:
Top 5 opponents played: Iowa 4, Auburn 6
Top 10 opponents played: Iowa 4, Auburn 8
Top 25 opponents played: Iowa 7, Auburn 14
It’s almost like playing in the SEC West is twice as difficult as playing in the Big 10 West. Anyone actually think Iowa would have had a 10-win season the past three years had we traded schedules?
