Also, how is USC not in the top 10?

With the right coach you can lock down the state of California blue chip recruits. Not to mention the tradition and appeal of having any recruit in the country going to Los Angeles for college.

Of course, the article is an opinion-piece; there's just no way to "prove" a job is a top 10, etc.

My opinion is that USC would be a top 10, probably any where from 6-10 at this point in time.

USC is a very wealthy school with a lot of money, almost $10 billion in endowments, etc. It has a lot of donations to the athletic program, too; one of the highest amounts in the nation of any school, according to some sources (Hollywood celebrities love USC).

The writer at 247 Sports is also looking to the future.....perhaps, he feels USC's new home in the Big 10 won't be as promising as it has been in the past, etc. I dunno. But, I think 'SC is still one of the best jobs......despite California's problems, the beautiful weather and attractions, beaches, mountains and deserts right here on our doorstep has always been a mainstay attraction for anyone considering USC.
