What's crazy about Larson's record is that his numbers were only second in the country; Berkman from Rice won the HR title.

Right! Lance Berkman is easily TOP 5 college baseball players of all time.

Berkman isn’t better than these players:

Todd Walker
Phil Nevin
Robin Ventura
Barry Bonds
J.D. Drew

Berkman might not even be top 10 best of all time

Berkman:

SLG: 1.031
OPS: 1.470
R: 109
RBI: 134
HR: 41
BB: 59
SO: 34

Condon:
AB: 181
BA: .459
OBP: .568
SLG: 1.105
OPS: 1.673
R: 70 (97 at this rate with Bergman’s 255 ABs)
RBI: 69 (97 at this rate with Bergman’s 255 ABs)
HR: 33 (46 at this rate with Bergman’s 255 ABs)
BB: 41 (58 at this rate with Bergman’s 255 ABs)
SO: 35 (49 at this rate with Bergman’s 255 ABs)

Not sure who else might be in the top 5, but Condon may be nudging out Berkman.
